Took the Texas Eagle to Dallas today, March 26, 2004, from Little Rock to attend a TXARP/NARP meeting. While staying at the Hyatt Reunion right across from Union Station, I had a perfect view out of my hotel window of trains, albeit from 8 stories up. Included are shots of Amtrak 22 arriving from Fort Worth, TRE, DART and a red Dallas, Garland & Northeastern No. 3833. I even have a photo of Raymond Dunbar at Dallas. Texas Eagle Number 21 arrived at 205 p.m., half an hour late. It was an hour and a half late into Little Rock but padding made up an hour.

Ray Dunbar got on the Eagle in Longview but got off to stretch in Dallas. RIGHT-the Sightseer Lounge with the city of Dallas reflected off the Hyatt.

Dallas, Garland & Northeastern 3833 pulling a short haul of loaded gons, 415 p.m. Scene was taken from my 8th floor window of the Hyatt. Notice the Plaza Memorial to John Kennedy in upper left.

Dallas Union Station just after the sun broke through the dark clouds.

Trinity Railway Express westbound from the room.

Amtrak 22, the northbound Texas Eagle, arrived at DUS at 445 p.m. The sun had gone back in the clouds.

All three were present in this photo, TRE, DART and Amtrak with Dallas Union Station in background.

Better shot without the glare of real-live passenger trains in Texas.
